Can I visit Qatar and what are the entry conditions?

Entry into Qatar is currently restricted for visitors. Entry into Qatar is permitted for

Qatari nationals

Qatar ID (QID) holders

vaccinated GCC citizens.

Recommended Covid-19 precautions

Wash hands with soap and water or with an alcohol-based hand rub

Cover your nose and mouth with your elbow or a paper tissue when coughing or sneezing, dispose of the tissue in a waste container

Refrain from touching your mouth and nose

When wearing a mask follow best practices on how to wear, remove and dispose of it

Maintain a distance of at least two metres from persons in public spaces

Avoid crowded spaces and social gatherings

Elderly people and people with chronic health conditions should avoid going out unless absolutely necessary

What places are open / closed to the public?

Nearly all indoor areas and sites in Qatar are now closed, with a few exemptions. The below places remain open, with limited capacity and restrictions:

General guidelines/ restrictions

Social gatherings and visits at homes and majlises are not allowed in indoor areas. For outdoor areas, a maximum of (5) people are allowed to gather, subject to them completing their full vaccination of COVID-19.

All citizens and residents continue to activate the EHTERAZ application on smartphones when leaving the house for any reason

Reducing the capacity of operating metro services by no more than (20%), stopping the operation of those services on Friday and Saturday of every week, and reducing the capacity for operating public transport services by no more than (20%) with stopping the operation of those services in some lines and stopping the operation of those services on Fridays and Saturdays every week, taking into account the closure of smoking areas, and not allowing food and drink to be consumed in the aforementioned transportation.

All GCC citizens who are visiting must activate EHTERAZ application on smartphones on arrival.
